Accommodations & Tours

    Casita Mandrina is a private suite with queen bed and queen fouton, kitchenette, hot water, romantic star shower, DVD's, air conditioning.  Sleeps 1-4, full ranch breakfast included, other meals by arrangement. 
  • Enjoy breakfast on the garden porch or poolside.  Take a refreshing dip in the splash pool after your rides or under the moon and a million stars.

  • Casa Roble is a spacious, fully furnished, one bedroom ranch house with queen and single bed in the bedroom and sofa bed in the living room.  Air conditioning, hot water and access to the splash pool.  Sleeps 1-4,  meals by arrangement.
  • Select from a variety of meal plans or cook "at home".

  • Horseback riding - day tours

    Casagua  Horses is know for their high quality, well trained horses and offers a variety of tours from 2 hours to half days. Let us design a tour for your interests or choose from one of our most popular tours:

    • Natural History Tour - expore Guanacaste's unique dry tropical forest flora and fauna.  Travel old oxcart trails through beautiful countryside and small towns, with a chance to see troupes of Howler monkeys, tropical birds and dry forest giant trees.
    • Cantina Tour - ride through ranches and old trails to small towns catching a glimpse of small town life, stopping at a local cantina or restaurant for cold drinks and bocas.  A real taste of Guanacaste culture.
    • Fiestas and Traditional Topes- Weekends, November to July, join groups of local riders and enjoy a traditional fiesta including a colorful horse parade and a reception for riders, including music, food, dancing and prizes. Later, watch a typical rodeo featuring exciting bull riding and roping. 
    • Old Tempate Trail to the Beach -  Ride through ranches and old trails to the quaint ranch town of Tempate, stop for a cold drink, then ride across the mountain to Potrero Beach.
    • Ride to the Volcano - Ride the lush green pastures to the foot of the Arenal Volcano and add a canopy or hanging bridges tour through the tropical rainforest with a one or two day extension.
    • Others include:  Honeymoon Rides, Pacific Beach Ride, Moonlight Rides, and Pony Rides for Children, Lessons and Natural Horsemanship Training

    We offer a variety of riding packages from 3 to 7 days and extensions to some of Costa Rica's most popular tourist destinations - Arenal Volcano, Rincón de la Vieja National Park, Tamarindo Beach, Playa Grande, Monkey Park and others. Riders and non riders alike will enjoy relaxing on the ranch or choosing activities including a variety of riding tours, lessons and training, canopy tours, surfing, sailing, fishing, and many more.

    • Weekend Fiesta Package - 3 nights/4 days (fiesta season Nov-May)
    • Old Spanish Trail Package - 5 nights with optional extensions
    • Guanacaste's Best - Ranches, Mountain & Beaches - 7 nights

    All tour packages include airport transfers from Liberia (LIR) or Tamarindo Regional, daily complete ranch breakfast, a selection of personalized horseback riding tours, lessons and demonstrations, visit to Monkey Park Rescue Center, and fiestas in season.  Optional tours and car rental by arrangement.
